To get to know our church, you have to get to know the people who belong there. We are what makes The Journey, a church.
“As someone who was raised in the church and attended VBS/ church camp annually growing up, I must admit that nothing has brought me closer to God and His Word than attending The Journey. I was raised attending Sunday School and church on Sundays, but that was it. We rarely spent time in the Bible outside of church. We tended to focus on the well-known parts of the Bible- creation, the Ark, Jonah, Moses, etc. but there were and still are parts of the Bible that I am unfamiliar with. Pastor Jared is very real and doesn’t focus on just the “main” or “more exciting” parts of the Bible- he focuses on it all. I now start and end my day in God’s Word. I have realized the importance of being able to come together with my church “family” weekly and more than just Sunday mornings. When we started attending the Journey I was working several part-time jobs and spent many Sundays and evenings working. One thing that the Journey has taught me is to worry less and put my faith in God- so I have resigned from those part-time jobs so that I can focus on my walk with God. I now have weekends and evenings off and that has removed quite a burden from my life. This has given me the opportunity to attend women’s breakfast monthly and become a part of various weekly Bible studies. The discussion and fellowship from these opportunities have paid me in much more than I was getting from any of those part-time jobs. If you are looking for a church to call home The Journey is that church!”-Jennie Richter, Director of Children’s Ministries
“My family did not attend church regularly as I was growing up. As a parent myself now, I want to raise my 7 year old in a church “family” where she can come to know & love Jesus. The Journey is this place for us.”-Allyson Ruse
